Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the California State Sheriffs’ Association (CSSA) Board of Directors has determined that it has no choice but to make the necessary decision to cancel the CSSA Annual Conference scheduled for June 15 – 18, 2020, in Riverside County.

The CSSA Annual Conference has built a reputation as one of the profession’s premier events, and the leadership of CSSA shares the disappointment of hundreds of attendees who look forward to this conference each year. While CSSA hoped for the best, the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic made this decision an obvious and sensible one. Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our members, staff, attendees, all participants, their families and communities far outweigh any potential consequences of canceling this meeting.

CSSA expresses our sincere appreciation to Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco and his team for all the hard work they had put in to make this year’s annual conference another top-notch event. The CSSA staff are working diligently on potential alternatives to holding the annual conference later in the year, and while nothing official has been planned yet, additional information will be shared when available.

CSSA wishes health and safety to all as we make our way through this challenging time.
